Pro

Sit the whole interview before the real one

Pick the sections you want, then a spoken officer walks you through the complete N-400: the oath, application review, English reading and writing, then the civics test, ending on a real adaptive pass/fail decision. By interview day, you have already done it.

The app's My Plan screen: a readiness score, coverage bar, and study streak.

AI timeline

Pro

A day-by-day plan that counts down with you

Give it your interview date and it builds a timeline: what to learn each day, which weak spots to revisit, and when to take a checkpoint test. A readiness score tracks how prepared you actually are, and your streak keeps you honest.

Pro

See the questions tripping you up

The app watches which questions you keep missing and pulls them into a Trouble Questions list you can drill in one tap. Pass rate, average score, and your best run sit right alongside, so you always know where you stand.

Compare your options

More practice than a $200 lawyer mock, for the price of lunch.

An immigration lawyer will run you one mock interview for $100-300, and most other apps keep charging you every month. Here is how the options actually differ.

Other apps & lawyer services

  • Needs internet, or an in-person appointment

Questions

Before you sign up.

Is the app free?

Yes. Free to start, and the free tier is enough to actually pass. Flashcards, unlimited civics practice tests, read-aloud audio, and 65/20 mode cost nothing. Pro is a one-time $14.99 unlock that adds the full mock interview, the personalized study plan and readiness insights, and removes ads. It is never a subscription.

Do you cover the 2025 civics test?

Yes. The app covers both versions and lets you switch between them: the 2025 test (128 questions, where the officer asks up to 20 and you must answer 12 correctly) and the 2008 test (100 questions, where the officer asks 10 and you must answer 6 correctly).

Which version of the test do I take?

It depends on when you filed your Form N-400. USCIS determines which civics test applies to your application, so check your filing date against the current USCIS guidance or ask your officer. The app supports both, so you can study either list.

What is the 65/20 special consideration?

If you are 65 or older at the time of filing and have been a lawful permanent resident for 20 or more years, you only need to study 20 designated questions from the 2008 test instead of all 100, and the officer asks 10 of those 20. The app has a dedicated 65/20 mode, and it is always free.

Are you affiliated with USCIS?

No. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by USCIS or any government agency. This is independent study tooling built around the publicly available civics questions. It is not access to the official test, and it cannot process or influence your application.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The questions and your progress live on your device, so you can study on a commute or anywhere without a connection.
